Selling group

• A group of smaller, regional investment dealers who do not assume any of the risks of underwriting, but only attempt to sell a certain portion of the security issue. Cach agrees to sell a portion of a security issue and expects to make a profit on the spread between the price at which they buy and sell the securities.
